Great Garnetts is an independent family business started by the late Mike Smith in 1970 and currently headed by his son Jonathan who joined the business as a partner in 1991.
The Pig and Turkey enterprise was started in 1971 and has grown in size over the years to produce several thousand Turkeys for the Christmas market and 2000 prime porkers each year.The pig herd is extensively housed on beds of deep straw and here at Gt Garnetts we are committed to stockmanship, welfare and animal husbandry of the highest standard.

We produce Turkeys for the Christmas market only, we have both barn reared white and free range bronze.

We are proud of both the quality of our product and the traditional rearing methods.
We market ourselves through both regional and national outlets, and we are well known locally for our farmer's markets, held here at the farm on the second Saturday of each month. The market attracts stallholders supplying the very best local, fresh produce and rural crafts, natural soaps... and the list is growing all the time! Whenever possible we have animals for children to meet etc, so its great way to spend a Saturday morning!
